It's Ugadi. A completely traditional day for all Telugu people as they celebrate the Telugu New Year today. Houses decorated with mango leaves, specially made Ugadi pickle with all tastes mixed, and a pooja for God is what on the cards for the day. But it seems like heroine Charmi doesn't care about any such.
Apparently Charmi tweeted a picture of her to convey Ugadi wishes for Telugu folks. She is seen kissing a chilling drink in hand, obviously clad in a bikini and by the side of pool. The picture seems to be an old one, but Charmi has got the title "Happy Ugadi" typed on it and shared it with fans. Which Telugu fan of her will anyway celebrate Ugadi in that style? These acts have surely hurt Telugu people though they don't want to take Charmi's acts very strongly.
There is a thin line between tradition and personal choice. When a celeb want to generalise their statement then definitely they should stick with majority of many. Well, Charmi talks about woman empowerment through "Jyothi Lakshmi"- is she trying to say that celebrating Ugadi in a bikini also falls under that category?
